Anne-Wil Harzing provides a tool for extracting lists of references from web services like Google Scholar as csv files. This tool can be downloaded here.

The data can only be of high quality if enough people contribute. There are simple tools with which one can easily report or fix errors or add improvements, even if one is not a mapping or GPS expert, e.g.
