Wiebke Duettmann, MD, PhD, from Charité Universitaetsmedizin Berlin is a member of the working group digital nephrology. Our project objects the support of patients with an outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT) with telemedical support. In addition, the storage of standardized data as groundwork for upcoming prediction models.

Wiebke Duettmann started her career at Medical University of Graz. After completion of medical studies, she attended the Grazer PhD program. Her thesis includes the care and surveillance of highly immunosuppressed patients and, in addition, she build up a biobank as well as database for this cohort. She developed interests in the optimization of acute and long-term care of immunosuppressed patients with help of modern technologies such as smartphone apps and platforms. Since 2015, Wiebke works at Charité as resident for Internal Medicine, where she pursues her scientific questions in the working group digital nephrology. She had been awarded with the “Max-Rubner-Preis” by Charity Charité and the “Zukunftspreis” by German Society of Nephrology for the telemedicine projects, she and her team are working on.
